Alright Lightning, tell us a little about yourself.
What do you do for work?
I am an IT Specialist (Contractor) for a government agency.
Aside from video games, what hobbies or pastimes do you enjoy?
I like to watch movies, walk, go to baseball games, concerts, swimming and working out.
Those are all wonderful hobbies! What is a skill you have that you take pride in?
Listening is my best skill. I like when people have a story to tell about their life experiences. It is something unique to them and I enjoy learning something about them.
I can definitely vouch for this, you are a fantastic listener. Any fun facts about yourself?
I am a history buff. Love comics and anime.
How have we not bonded over history before? Guess we’ll do that sometime while raiding! How long have you been playing video games and what are some of your earliest and/or favorite video game memories?
I started playing games about 36 years ago on the first game system that the family owned and that was the Atari 2600. I was amazed at how the games were being created and how fun they played. The game that really made me into a gamer was Tecmo Super Bowl. Probably the best game. I would play that day and night. And now, it’s Destiny.
Is this where I mention I’ve never seen or interacted with an Atari IRL…? What are your favorite foods, music, movies, shows, etc.?
For Foods, I love deep dish pizza, anything pho, and a good tasting burger. I love all Music genres. From Classical to Rock. When it comes to shows, I love all the NCIS shows, all the Chicago shows, SWAT, The Rookie, Castle, Chuck and the Marvel shows on Disney+. For movies, I like all the Bourne movies, Jack Reacher, Marvel movies (that Marvel makes, NOT Sony), some of the Matrix movies, Jurassic Park and World movies, Bond movies and all the John Wick movies.
Yo, pho is pho-king amazing - breathtaking, one may say. Is there any special story or significance to your gamertag?
I have always been into myths, folklore and science fiction, so once Microsoft started the Xbox Live Service, I thought about the elements and Thor. That is when I came up with LightningKing.

Now, let’s get into our beloved game, Destiny, and your history with Clan Truth!
When did you first start playing Destiny, and can you tell us about what drew you to the game?
I started playing Destiny back when the beta came out in 2013. I got hooked on the style and game play which took me away from CoD - That and Halo were my game of choice at the time. When Bungie decided to go outside the Halo Universe, I was ready to jump in for the next adventure.
What is your primary/favorite class and why?
The Warlock is the best class in the game due to the fact that there are abilities that are made for everything.
Warlock master race let’s gooo! Who has the best jump?
It’s a hard choice but Hunters because they have better control.
… My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. If you could remove any one weapon from the game, which one and why?
DMT. It is so annoying that it makes you want to throw something at the screen.
Two nerfs and still feels frustrating to play against… pepeHands. If you could design an exotic weapon or armor, what would it be?
I would design an exotic arm for Warlocks that they can use with Dawnblade to produce a fire shield that can not only absorb energy but shoot out a beam of light to heal allies and fry enemies.
Well dang, beam me up Scotty! I feel like that’s a few exotic perks in one armor piece and as a Warlock main, I am here for it. If you could date any character(s) from Destiny, who and why?
Ikora because she is a sexy, badass Warlock that knows her mistakes, owns it and corrects it.
Ikora is actually the GOAT - Canonically, she’s also one of the most powerful guardians to ever exist. Good choice. What Destiny characters would you ship together that aren’t already?
Eris and Zavala
That is a combination I have never thought of nor considered. Imma sit on that for a little bit.

Are you actually the king of lightning? Isn't Thor the real Lightning King?
Thor will always be the King of Lightning. But, I am the LightningKing. There is only one like me. No one can compare. LOL
Yeah! Thor’s got nothing on you! It’s not like he’s an actual god or anything. How does it feel being in the top 10% of eldest people in the server, while sounding like possibly the youngest?
You know, I am good with it. It goes with my personality.
What is the best cookie from Pepperidge Farm?
Captiva, because I love the taste of the dark chocolate and brownie in one cookie.
Who has a better PC, you or Duchess?
Me. After 7 yrs with the last pc I built, I went all out for this one.
Who has a better claim to the throne, you or Duchess?
By far Duchess. No one can touch her crown!

I thought about this a lot. I am a person who likes to help people whenever I can. I would work for an organization that would help others that are less fortunate than us.

I would go to Fiji and do all the things I can think of doing. Snorkeling, Parasailing, Dancing, Drinking. You name it, I will do it.
Who is the best character on That 70’s Show? Defend your reasoning.
Fez. He was the man. Funny, weird and didn’t care about it. He knew who he was and went full steam ahead.

Dutch Apple pie is the best.

NSync would win the dance. But the Boys will win the streets.

Martin Luther King Jr. would be that person. The man was fearless even though he was afraid. He let the actions of words and faith guide him to become one of the most influential people of all time.

What made you laugh the hardest you’ve ever laughed in your life?
Watching one of the old episodes of David Chappelle Show. When he was the blind Khan member. I was on the floor laughing.
Do you have any phobias?
I have a fear of spiders.
But spiders are our friends! Usually. Why are you the way that you are?
It is due to my mother. She taught me how to respect a person.
If you could wake up tomorrow being a master of a musical instrument and join any band in the world, what instrument would you play for what band?

Blue, because I like water and it is calming.
If you were a meal, what would you be?
Porterhouse steak w/ garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables.
What is the best compliment you have ever received?
That I am a very helpful person.
What is the craziest thing you have ever done?
I don’t know. I would have to say the craziest thing I’ve ever done was sing a song in front of people to impress a girl. I never would do that because I am a very shy person when it comes to talking to women.
What is the most embarrassing story about yourself that you’re willing to share?
When I was younger I was at a restaurant and they brought me food that I ordered but didn’t remove the nuts from it. Once I started eating it, everything immediately came out. My mother was irate, and I was so upset and felt bad about the whole thing.
