This Week At Sunshine Superman

-This Week At Truth, if you get that reference, good for you. Season 22 is here! We stand before Hive God Eris and pay our tributes to learn more about the Hive Magic to work towards our goal of defeating the Witness. We had an action-packed week between our new season start and the Final Shape Showcase that premiered last week. I'm here to get you all caught up on what's going on!

-ICYMI, but seriously, how could you at this point, you can go back and watch the Final Shape Showcase here. If you'd prefer to read Bungie's own summary of it, follow this link instead. When Feb 27th rolls around, we'll be beginning the journey to end the Witness. 

-The Season of the Witch storyline involves delving into Hive Magic, and the new upgrade system of Arcane Magic cards is a new twist on the seasonal model. Collect your major cards to build a deck to use in the Altar of Summoning activity, and collect minor cards for random rewards to claim. The new season also brought in 3 new Strand Aspects, be sure to grab those from Neomuna if you haven't yet! Seasonal story beats and discussion should always stay in the #season-of-hive-queen-eris channel, but discussion about the Spire and Altars activities is fair game across channels.

-In our Discord, we are making a change, the old @Pinnacles role is being temporarily changed to @Exotic Missions, since there won't be a need to level with Pinnacles, we feel it better to have a role reflective of the new rotating Exotic missions, as well as new ones that pop up. We will address the Pinnacle role again, if necessary, in Final Shape. If you had the old @Pinnacles role assigned, it will automatically be converted to @Exotic Missions. Anyone wishing to add it can do so in #role_assign. 

-We also have a brand new animated Discord logo, updated to reflect our new season, courtesy of AeonSigma! 

-Crota's End returns this week! Our next reprised raid is the D1 classic. Swing those swords, get your Gjallys ready, and watch out for that Oversoul mechanic. Friday at 1PM ET is the World's First/Contest Mode start. For 48 hours, contest mode will be active, with 1790 being the effective power cap for the activity. Since this is a reprised raid, you will need to beat it once on contest mode, then complete the Challenge Mode to claim the contest emblem. Be wary, as they've said contest mode should be a bit beefier than what we experienced in Root of Nightmares. -Elsewhere, Heist Battleground: Moon is the Nightfall this week. Zone Control and Mayhem are the Crucible rotators. No Trials this week with contest mode raid going on. Garden of Salvation is the rotator raid, Spire of the Watcher is the rotator dungeon, and Vox Obscure makes its first appearance as the Exotic rotator.
