This Week At Keeping Secrets Until August 23rd

-This Week At Truth, we have a date for the new (well not really "new") raid! The summer Solstice event is heading into its final week, and its time to grab a Hothead while you can. There will be an update today and some downtime 15 mins before reset so plan accordingly.

-The Solstice event enters its final week. This is your last chance to do all of the Solstice-related activities to work towards Flamekeeper and Reveler seals, as well as the Event Card and its items. The Event Card will disappear at reset next week, so be sure to claim all of your items using the tickets if you want to do so before then.

-The Nightfall this week is Inverted Spire, and the weapon drop is the Hothead. This is the final time Hothead will be a nightfall weapon reward as it will be removed at the end of this season. It is also Bonus Nightfall Rewards this week so it is a great opportunity to farm one out. NOTE: Plug One.1 is also leaving the nightfall loot pool at the end of the season and will be next week's reward.

-Crucible rotator is Momentum Control for those that might need to polish off that seasonal challenge. The rotating Pinnacles this week will be from Deep Strone Crypt raid (also includes all challenges active and a chance to get Eyes of Tomorrow with each boss clear) and Prophecy Dungeon

-We have a raid date. While Bungie is purposefully saving the actual raid for the showcase on Aug 23rd (also same day as the new season), we were informed in the TWAB that the raid will launch on August 26th at 10 AM PT. Yes, this is a Friday, and despite some dismay that many in the community felt, it was laid out on Twitter why the choice was made to launch on a Friday instead of a Saturday. This raid has a power cap of 1560, so nothing above that Power Level will provide any benefits, which means no Pinnacle grind is necessary. It does however create scenarios where bounty hoarding and XP farming to unlock all of the artifact mods will be beneficial, do what you will to prepare.

-This raid will follow the same style that reprised Vault of Glass did last May. Clearing Contest Mode will unlock the Challenge Mode from the Director. Clearing the challenges in this mode will be the determiner of World's First and the Day 1 raid emblems. Just as we did for Vow of the Disciple, here is a link to a Google Form, where members of our community can put themselves in a free agent pool for the Day 1 attempts, and those with unfilled teams can see who is interested. The spreadsheet responses will be pinned in #lfg_raids until that weekend is over. We had a whopping 13 teams attempt Vow on Day 1, and I think many first timers saw just how difficult contest mode can be. For those willing to try for fun, or for the glory, good luck!

-In the meantime, you can use the Charlemagne bot to mix in some D1 raids if you are feeling like practicing. Charlie has a command to setup D1 raids (which are still platform specific) The command !lfg create d1 will allow you to post raids if you want to refresh yourself on King's Fall or Wrath of the Machine (I've already been over this multiple times that unless Bungie changed course without retracting old statements, it will not be Crota's End or any of the Leviathan raids).

-Thanks to all who attended to Seattle meetup this past weekend! I heard it was a fantastic time from the peeps that joined in. Pictures will be up on the Truth IRL section soon. Thanks to Shua for spearheading this endeavor, and we hope to do more meetups like this in different areas as well as again next year.

-Even if you didn't venture into the passive scout rifle-fest that was Trials on Eternity this weekend, we hit the voting mark for the emblem! After reset today the emblem below will be available to claim from Bungie Rewards.

-This will be my last TWAT update for a few weeks, I'll be out of the country the next couple of Tuesdays until the big Destiny showcase and new season launch. I'm leaving TWAT in the capable (?) hands of Oblivion  while I'm gone. Looking forward to coming back and seeing us cross that 1,200 member mark before the new season! Cheers and happy bounty grinds to all! --Witty
